چکیده

Nondestructive and noninvasive visualization quantification of soil wetted bodies (SWBs) is great significance to the development water-saving agriculture. Unfortunately, measuring parameters SWBs difficult due invisibility buried underneath ground non-variability moisture under partial irrigation conditions. Therefore, we performed a laboratory experiment investigate what SWB attributes can be detected by GPR. In laboratory, three typical experiments were conducted collect GPR data different sizes, shapes, burial depths. Additionally, numerical simulation scenarios designed according experiment. Then, simulated measured processed FK migration method. Based on simulation, calibration model for width was constructed. We found that attributes, such as type location obtained from raw radargrams owing obvious reflection top bottom interfaces. The results showed estimating depth thickness more reliable than radargrams. Moreover, estimation relies Our findings indicate size dominate detection accuracy, estimated gained via improved. highlight potential using detect SWBs, well migration, modeling in combination extract information

Subsurface surveying by a rover equipped with ground-penetrating radar

We discuss our experiences in integrating a commercial off-the-shelf ground-penetrating radar unit with an all-terrain rover. Straight-line subsurface surveys were generated in a fully autonomous manner using odometry and a simple visual servoing technique. Survey results for various terrains are presented. We discuss the configuration of the integrated system and make recommendations for both ...

a study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation

reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...

GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) into Real World

GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) is one of subsurface sensing technologies, which has been used intensively since 1980s. Due to rapid development of both hardware and software, its possibilities have been considerably extended resulting in widening the area of its applications. While such applications as to detection of buried pipes and cables, archaeology and geology are established category, ne...

Subsurface Imaging using Ground-Penetrating Radar Measurements

Much work has been done toward reconstructing the electrical parameters of an unknown buried object. Many methods, and accompanying results from simulations, have been presented. Most research in the area, however, has been in developing imaging algorithms that have been tested primarily through computer simulation. This paper presents a newly constructed facility for ground-penetrating radar e...
